INFORMATION FOR VISITORS TO XINET TRAINING

Each morning, coffee and a selection of breakfast items will be
provided, beginning around 8:30 AM. Lunch is also included in the
training. The training courses begin around 9:00 AM and end approx-
imately at 5:00 PM. Please plan to stay until 5:00 PM even on the last
day, as our courses cover a lot of details that you won't want to miss.

Airport Information:

You may fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland
International Airport (OAK). It will take approximately 45 minutes to
get from SFO to Berkeley, or 35 minutes to get from OAK to Berkeley.

The taxicab fare from SFO to Berkeley is approximately $65. The taxi
fare from Oakland to Berkeley is approximately $50.

If you are taking a shuttle, Bay Porter Express is a good one.
Reservations are necessary. Bay Porter Express can be reached via
their website www.bayporter.com or by telephone (510) 864-4000.

Rental Car Information:

The San Francisco airport offers a Rental Car Center with convenient
shuttle access from the terminals. The following two links describe

Other Transportation Options:

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) service is available into Berkeley from
both airports (although the Oakland airport connection to BART
begins with a brief segment on shuttle-bus). BART stops, rates and

The closest BART stops to Xinet's office are both just under 2 miles away:

The DOWNTOWN BERKELEY BART station, on Shattuck Avenue, is one
option: taxis are readily available there and there is a phone to
call cabs at the BART Plaza (Center Street at Shattuck).

The ASHBY BART station is another option: taxis are sometimes
available at ASHBY BART; Alameda County Transit bus transportation
can be a bit spotty; walking is not particularly advised.

A private free shuttle bus service, the West Berkeley Shuttle, runs from ASHBY BART during very limited morning & afternoon commute hours (last bus pick up at ASHBY is 8:50 AM). Exit the BART station to the left, and the shuttle stop is at the closest curb (right in front of the hot dog stand, and left of the taxi cab lineup). The shuttle is a white, unmarked vehicle that seats approximately 30 people. More details: www.westberkeleyshuttle.com/

The Alameda County Transit bus service between Berkeley BART and Xinet's location is Line #49 "Counterclockwise Weekday." The #49 runs between Berkeley BART and Dwight /San Pablo roughly every 10-15 minutes in the morning, and it will stop at the corner of Dwight at 9th Streets, upon request. To head back to BART, take the "Clockwise Weekday" #49 at the corner of San Pablo and Dwight Way. For more schedule details, see: www.actransit.org

far away from food options.
